The Ladies Auxiliary was formed in 1926 when Merillion Company Two, was established. The Departments Auxiliary is comprised of wives and relatives of department members who live within the boundaries of The Garden City Park Fire District.
Operating since the late 1920’s, the Auxiliary provides supplementary support to the fire department. The Auxiliary first started with a handful of members; today there are over twenty members willing to support the mission of the Garden City Park Fire Department.
The specific goals of the Auxiliary are to develop a rapport and assist the department whenever possible and to help institute creative ways to fundraise and serve the community.
The Auxiliary of the GCPFD meets the second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm from September through June at Headquarters (2264 Jericho Turnpike Firehouse) in the training classroom.
